Hawaiian T-Shirts is an e-commerce brand, and an online shop sells with its pictures. Customers cannot pick a shirt up; the image is the closest they get. Before launch, the brand needed product images, a lot of them. The usual answer is a photography shoot: a studio, a photographer, an editor, and a bill and a calendar to match.

We made them with AI instead: 1,047 product images, delivered in 7 days, at 97% less than traditional photography. Put another way, for every pound a traditional shoot would have cost, this cost three pence. The brand launched on schedule.

Same rule as everything else we build: the AI drafts and a person signs off. A model can produce a thousand images in a week. Deciding which ones are good enough to sell from is still a human job, and it is the one that matters.

You do not need to sell shirts for this to apply. Product shots, ads, social posts and brochures are the same problem: a volume of work a small team cannot produce on its own, with a shoot or a designer’s week standing between the business and the launch. The skilled part is not pressing a button. It is setting the brief, knowing what on-brand looks like, and judging what comes back. AI moves the bottleneck from making the images to choosing them, which is where a person should be anyway.
