AI, web and apps for Peacehaven businesses

Peacehaven sits on the cliffs where the Greenwich meridian meets the coast. Its businesses are mostly owner-run, and the owner is often the receptionist too.

Peacehaven

Peacehaven is younger than most of its neighbours. Charles Neville founded it in 1916, launched it through a newspaper naming competition as New Anzac-on-Sea, and had renamed it Peacehaven by February 1917. He laid it out on an American-style grid, which is why the avenues run dead straight, and the Meridian Monument on the cliff top marks where the prime meridian crosses the coast.

Today it’s a town of avenues and small businesses: builders, electricians, cleaners, carers, hairdressers, takeaways and the shops along the South Coast Road. There’s no railway station, so it’s the car or the 12 bus, and the A259 serves as both the high street and the main road to Brighton. Newhaven, with its port and the ferry to Dieppe, is next door to the east, and Brighton Marina is a few miles west along the cliffs.

It’s also a town that knows about waiting. The rebuild of the Meridian Centre has been voted through, paused and voted through again. Nobody here needs telling that a plan isn’t a building, which is why we don’t sell plans: we build the thing, this month, and show you how to run it.

Most people look a business up before they call, and a site that’s looked the same since the van was signwritten sends them to the next name on the list.

Game and Flames is at the far end of the same road. The A259 that runs through Peacehaven as the South Coast Road carries on to Bexhill-on-Sea, roughly an hour east, where we built the caterer’s website and private CRM as one system. Spam is filtered out silently, in six layers, before the owner sees it, backups run every night and get restore-tested, and the hosting costs next to nothing. Small business, serious system.

How we work

How we work with people in Peacehaven

We’re about fifteen minutes away in Seaford, along the A259 through Newhaven, so we come to you: your unit, your shop or your kitchen table if that’s where the business runs from.

Start with the free review, on the phone or at your premises. Within one working day we email you the three things we’d fix, in order, with a rough idea of what each is worth. Anything after that is priced before we start, and anything an AI drafts for your customers waits for you to approve it.

For a trade business, a good first build is often a lead follow-up agent. Every enquiry from your website or inbox gets a drafted reply straight away, you approve it from your phone between jobs, and the quiet ones get chased until they book or say no.

Questions people ask

Questions people ask

There’s no station in Peacehaven. How do we meet?

We drive. It’s a short run along the coast road for us, through Newhaven, so we’ll meet you wherever the work happens, from a shop on the South Coast Road to a spare-room office in Telscombe Cliffs. If it’s easier, the first call can be on video, and the free review works just as well on the phone.

I’m a sole trader with a van. Is any of this for me?

Possibly. We work best with businesses of about 3 to 50 people, but a lead follow-up agent that drafts replies for you to send between jobs can earn its keep in a very small business. The free review will tell you honestly whether it’s worth it yet. If it isn’t, you’ll still know the three things to fix and the order to fix them in.

Will an AI agent reply to my customers without me seeing it?

No. AI writes the draft and a person signs it off: you see every reply before it goes, and you can change it or bin it. That only changes if you tell us in writing that certain messages can go out on their own.

Tell us what’s slow. We’ll tell you what to fix first.

A call of 20 to 30 minutes. We find the gaps, the leaks and the quick wins, and what each one is worth to you. Fixed price after that, no hourly rates. No 200-page deck.

Or tell us what you want to achieve and Dan will come back to you within one working day. Email dan@danielnicholls.com.
