AI, web and apps for Eastbourne businesses

Eastbourne runs on its seafront, its conference trade and a big-event calendar, from June’s tennis to August’s Airbourne. We build the apps and systems that keep up.

Eastbourne

Eastbourne is a working seaside town: a long front of hotels, the pier, and Beachy Head, the highest chalk sea cliff in Britain, at the western end. Behind the front, Devonshire Park brings grass-court tennis every June and conference delegates for much of the year, Towner Eastbourne hosted the Turner Prize in 2023, and Little Chelsea, around Grove Road and South Street, is where the independent shops and cafés are.

It’s also a town of language schools, care and health businesses, trades and the marina at Sovereign Harbour. The owners we meet here tend to run lean teams with sharp seasonal peaks, so the same few people answer the phone, take the bookings and do the marketing. Plenty of what fills those days is repeat work: the same questions answered by email, the same booking confirmed by phone and then again by text, the same brochure rebuilt for each event. That’s where an app or an automation earns its keep.

On winter evenings the starlings gather over the pier and move as one. It’s the best picture we know of AI agents at work: lots of small tasks, each done properly, adding up to something that looks like a single mind. Unlike starlings, ours check with a person before they send anything.

What Eastbourne businesses bring us

What Eastbourne businesses bring us

Newhaven harbour at dusk Newhaven harbour 04We need an app. Yesterday. We ship.

A language school, a gym or a seafront hotel can live with a generic booking app until the season starts and the workarounds pile up.

Beachy Head lighthouse at dusk Beachy Head lighthouse 01We’re not getting enough leads.Be the light they steer by.

When the tennis or Airbourne fills the town, enquiries arrive faster than a small team can answer them, and the ones left until tomorrow have often booked elsewhere.

Conference packs, event menus and seasonal brochures all land in the same few weeks, and waiting a fortnight for each one misses the moment it was for.

For app work, our best local example is Barn Gym in Burwash, about forty minutes north of Eastbourne in the High Weald. Members log every set, track personal records, measurements and progress photos, and keep their streaks going, while coaches run their schedules and time off from the same platform, which is now becoming a product in its own right. Closer still, Game and Flames in Bexhill, about twelve miles east along the A259 past Pevensey, runs its website and sales CRM on one system we built.

How we work

How we work with people in Eastbourne

Eastbourne is about twenty minutes from Seaford on the A259, over the downs and past Cuckmere Haven, so we’re happy to come to your hotel, school, clinic or office. We can also do the whole thing by video if that’s easier in the middle of the season.

The free review is half an hour at most. You talk; we ask about your leads, the repetitive work and what you’ve tried with AI. Within a working day you have our three fixes in writing, ranked, with a rough value on each.

App projects get their scope, price and timeline fixed before we start, then a progress report every week and something you can tap through every two weeks until it ships. You own the app and the code behind it.

Questions people ask

Questions people ask

We run a seafront hotel. Where would AI pay for itself first?

Often in the inbox: room, function and event enquiries answered the same day and followed up until they book, with AI drafting each reply and a person sending it. After that, look at the admin around the bookings. We’ll look at the website too, because if it can’t take a booking at midnight, the inbox fills up with questions it should have answered. The free review tells us which matters most for you, and what each is worth.

Do we need an app, or would a better website do?

Often a better website will do, and we’ll say so. An app earns its place when customers use it every week, to book a class, log a session or check in. Barn Gym’s members book, log their training and check in on one platform. If your customers come twice a year, put the money into the website.

Can you build our app before the season starts?

Often, yes. It takes weeks, not months, once the scope is clear, and pinning down the scope is what the review and the proposal are for. You’ll have the price and the delivery date fixed before we start. We’d rather ship a first version your customers can use this season than a perfect one next year.

Tell us what’s slow. We’ll tell you what to fix first.

A call of 20 to 30 minutes. We find the gaps, the leaks and the quick wins, and what each one is worth to you. Fixed price after that, no hourly rates. No 200-page deck.
