AI, web and apps for Battle businesses
Battle has told the same story since 1066, and it still works. The High Street’s shops, cafes and offices need websites that are a little more recent.
Battle
The town grew up around the abbey William built on the battlefield, and English Heritage restages 1066 there in October. The High Street runs from Abbey Green, where the cafes gather, past medieval hall-houses to the butcher, the baker and the greengrocer further up.
Battle’s other tradition is fire. The Battel Bonfire Boyes claim to be the oldest bonfire society in Sussex, with records going back to 1646. A town that has kept one night going for nearly four centuries understands what automation is for: the same job, done properly, every time, with a person signing off what goes out.
Its history has a few more chapters. Battle made gunpowder from 1676, and its station, a Victorian Gothic building on the Hastings line, has direct trains to Charing Cross in about an hour and a half.
The businesses we build for here are cafes, gift shops, pubs and estate agents, plus the farms and venues in the villages around. Their customers are split between people who live here and people who came for the abbey and may never come back. Both need answering, and the second lot need answering quickly, ideally before they’re back on the A21.

01We’re not getting enough leads.Be the light they steer by.
A visitor who leaves no email is gone for good; we build the capture into your site and an agent that drafts the follow-up, and you approve every message before it sends.

In a town that sells history, the website is the one thing that shouldn’t look like part of it.

06Our team can’t use AI.Train the crew, not just the boat.
The teams behind the High Street are small and stretched; we train them in the building, on their own documents, with clear rules on what AI may draft and what a person must check.

Barn Gym in Burwash is about ten miles from Battle, twenty minutes or so by the A21 and the A265. We built the gym one system for everything: online booking with a health form and coach approval, class and PT bookings with waitlists, coach diaries and time off, workout and meal plans, progress tracking and a member community, in place of several paid tools. It’s now on its way to becoming a product for other gyms.

How we work
How we work with people in Battle
From our base in Seaford, Battle is a drive of about 24 miles. We’ll come and see the business as it actually runs on a weekday, meet you in Seaford, or do the whole thing on a video call if that’s easier around the busy weekends.
The Free Business Review comes first. In 20 to 30 minutes we look for where enquiries leak and what your team does by hand that a machine should do. Before the next working day is out, it’s in writing: what to fix first, second and third, and what each could be worth to the business. We don’t do decks.
If you go ahead, the price is agreed and fixed before anyone writes a line of code. Anything an agent drafts is signed off by a person before it reaches a customer.
When the system is live, we train the people who will use it, in your building and on a quiet morning, so the capability stays with you.

Questions people ask
Questions people ask
Do you work with businesses in the villages around Battle?
Yes. Catsfield, Netherfield, Sedlescombe, Whatlington and Crowhurst are all the same trip for us. If it’s easier, we do the review on a video call first and visit once there’s something worth looking at. Farm shops, venues and holiday lets get the same review and the same fixed-price approach as the High Street.
Most of our customers are visitors. Can you help us hear from them again?
Yes, if you ask for the email at the right moment. We build the capture into the website, the booking or the receipt, then a campaign engine like the one we built for Game and Flames, with delivery and open tracking. AI drafts the messages, and you approve each one before it goes out. A note in January to people who visited in October costs almost nothing to send.
How quickly can we have a new website?
Weeks, not months. The timeline is fixed in the proposal before we start, and you see a working demo every two weeks, so you watch the site take shape instead of hearing about it. A site that also takes bookings or payments takes longer than a brochure site, and the proposal will say exactly how much.

Tell us what’s slow. We’ll tell you what to fix first.
A call of 20 to 30 minutes. We find the gaps, the leaks and the quick wins, and what each one is worth to you. Fixed price after that, no hourly rates. No 200-page deck.
